Parking, Shuttle, and Detours

Shuttle Service Saturday Only

A free shuttle service will be provided to the POPPtoberfest on Saturday only.  You can park and ride the shuttle from First Baptist Church located at 1333 W. University Avenue MAP. The drop off location will be two blocks down from the Main Stage at the corner of Austin Avenue and 9th Street.  The shuttle will run continuously Saturday starting at 9 a.m. until 11 p.m.

We recommend that you use the POPPtoberfest Shuttle provided on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am until after the Saturday Night Concert. To ensure the safety of our Old Town Residents, parking in the Old Town Neighborhoods will be limited and towing will be enforced when vehicles are left in a No Parking Zone. Designated parking area for Guests with disabilities will be available at the parking lot located at 10th & Main Street. A valid disability parking permit is required.

Driving Directions to Shuttle from Austin:

Take IH35 north to exit 261.  Turn left onto State Highway 29.  Drive approximately 1 mile.  Turn left into First Baptist Church parking lot at 1333 W. University Avenue.

Driving Directions to Shuttle From Waco/Dallas/Fort Worth:

Take IH35 south to exit 261.  Turn right onto State Highway 29.  Drive approximately 1 mile.  Turn left into First Baptist Church parking lot at 1333 W. University Avenue.

Event Parking:

The Williamson County parking garage at Rock and Fourth streets and the public parking lot on Austin Avenue between Fifth and Fourth streets (next to The Monument Cafe) will be open during the festival. Public parking lots on Martin Luther King Jr. Street at West Eighth and West Sixth streets are also available. There is no charge for parking.

Attendees are asked to be courteous when parking on neighborhood streets, and avoid blocking driveways or parking in fire lanes. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed.

Handicap parking is available at the parking lot at 10th and Main streets.

The City parking lot at Sixth and Main streets will be closed starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 30.

Street Closures

Austin Avenue closes Friday morning: Starting at 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, Austin Avenue will be closed from Sixth to Ninth streets. Traffic will be detoured to Rock Street. This is to allow the placement of the main festival stage. Austin Avenue will be closed through 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3.

Other streets around the Courthouse Square will close at 6 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, to allow for vendor set-up. Streets around the Square will remain closed through 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3.
